Provenance: Gift from artist to Grace Mayer (1959). Gottscho's planned edition of 25 prints was never completed. Two complete sets of the 58 prints in Manhattan Photographs are known: this print is from one, and a the other set was purchased by Benjamin Riegel, “an industrialist”, in 1933, as indicated by Gottscho’s annotation to the volume given to Mayer.
